Patient Fees
The standard consultation charge is $60 for each appointment of between 15-30 min duration. If the medical problem is complex, or when multiple issues are being sorted out, the doctor may charge an extended consult fee of $90.
Non-enrolled patients and non-residents can be seen on a casual basis but incur an additional $10 surcharge for the initial visit. Patients who are enrolled elsewhere are expected to follow-up with their own doctors and subsequent consults are billed with a $40 surcharge.
Please note that while consults for young children are free, nursing services and repeat prescriptions do incur a small fee.
Every two years on the 1st October, we will adjust our fees based on the official annual inflation rate released by Stats NZ for the preceding two years. At the same time, we will also revise our staff salaries in the same manner. This is to ensure that our patients are not overcharged, and that our staff are paid a living wage.
