How We Do Things

Stanmore Bay 1954

The first step in solving your medical problems would be to give you enough time to talk to us. We will set aside fixed consult times of about 30 minutes depending on the complexity of the case. These consults will be scheduled ahead of time with your registered doctor. Difficult cases will be discussed in our regular clinic education meetings so that you will have the benefit of input from professionals in different specialities.

For intercurrent illnesses and accidents, we will have an after-hours walk-in clinic in the evening on weekdays and on Saturday. This is so that you do not have to take time off work or school to see a doctor. The walk-in clinic will be run by a duty doctor who may not be your registered doctor and there will be a small surcharge due to the additional cost of running an after-hours service. To keep charges as low as possible, billing will be time-based so that patients will only pay for what they use.

Our queueing system is set up so that patients can book and change appointments online. The system has some flexibility and can accommodate even if you are a bit early or late. You will be asked to stay home until your appointment time is due and a text reminder can be sent if you select the option. Once at the clinic, most patients are expected to wait in their own cars until they are called in. This is to minimise the risk of infection spreading between patients. Current waiting times can be seen through the system as well as on an electronic signboard in front of the clinic. Most registered patients can expect to be seen on the same day, barring unforeseen circumstances.
